How do I retract a bid in an auction?

 

Before bidding on any items, we ask you to carefully read the item description and check the seller's feedback. If you have any questions regarding the listing, email the seller directly. Then bid. Every bid in Salon Channel Auctions is binding . You should only retract bids under exceptional circumstances.

Circumstances when it's OK to retract a bid...

  • You accidentally entered a wrong bid amount. For instance, you bid $77.95 instead of $7.95.
  • The item description of the item you're bidding on has changed significantly.
  • You cannot verify the seller's identity.

    Circumstances when it's NOT OK to retract a bid...
  • You change your mind about the item.
  • You bid a little higher than you promised yourself you would go.
  • You decide you can't really afford it.

    You will need to provide an explanation for a cancelling a bid. Bid retraction are publicized in the auction bid history and in your user feedback rating.

    1. Click on the "My Auction" link.

    2. Click on "Retract My Bid"  link on the Buyer Tools section.

    3. Fill in all the required information on the form.

    4. Click "Retract Bid" button.
